Dissolved Air Flotation

Clarification process equipment for processing water & wastewater.

Dissolved Air Flotation

Dissolved Air Flotation systems are designed to effectively remove suspended solids (TSS), FOG, and other pollutants from a wastewater stream. Wastewater is fed into the DAF system and hit with a stream of recirculated clarified water from the DAF that has been super saturated with dissolved air. As the recycle stream is mixed with the incoming wastewater, micron-sized bubbles attach to the contaminants. Together they rise to the surface and are removed by a skimmer that gently pushes them towards a discharge hopper for further handling. The “V” bottom of the DAF tank will collect any remaining solids that do not float to the surface where they will be eventually be discharged after a certain amount of accumulation.

  • Secondary activated sludge clarifier
  • Municipal and industrial wastewater treatment
  • Oil and Grease Removal
