History of Environmental Water Solutions, Inc

Environmental Water Solutions, Inc. (EWS) was incorporated in 2004 as a subsidiary company of McKenna Engineering & Equipment Comapny, Inc. to specifically handle the municipal and industrial water and waste water markets in California and Western Nevada. EWS has direct and indirect employees. By sharing resources with McKenna Engineering & Equipment Company, Inc., EWS has extensive sales coverage supported by a full staff of engineering, inside sales, equipment repair and field service support.

McKenna Engineering & Equipment Company, Inc. has been participating in these markets over the past 10 years supplying periphery equipment such as liquid handling pumps, blowers, and gas compressors; in addition to equipment service and repair. EWS was established to specifically target these markets as a full service representative expanding the product and service offerings to include process equipment.

McKenna Engineering & Equipment Company, Inc. was established in 1978 as a pump distributor. From 1978 to the mid 80’s, the company participated in many industries in California, however, 70% of the business was in oil refining and production. The oil crash of the mid 80’s forced the Company to greatly diversify its sales efforts into other industries with additional products, as well as change the way it operated the business.

The Company has expanded substantially over the past five years, acquiring two companies and creating a third. Today McKenna Engineering operates as a distributor, a manufacturer’s representative, a service company, and engineering contractor. It continues to service the industrial marketplace as McKenna Engineering, Process Solutions & Integration, Inc. servicing the sanitary markets, and Environmental Water Solutions serving the municipal water and waste water markets.

The products represented have evolved as well. In 1978 McKenna sold rotating equipment that handled only liquids. The Company now provides application engineering, sales and service for process equipment handling air, gas, liquids and bulk solids. In addition, as an engineering contractor, the Company provides installation and construction services for all products represented. These products and services cater to a wide range of industries within the territory. These include but are not limited to, water and waste water, environmental, power, pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetics, food processing, milling, pulp & paper, high tech, mining, and general industry, as well as oil refining and production. Customers include end users, OEMs, contractors, and consulting engineers McKenna Engineering is a sales company first and has always sold from a strong technical base. The company has over 150 years of application experience in rotating equipment for the process industries. All the partners, as well as several of the salesmen are seasoned engineers.

There are two offices in California; Carson in Southern California and Fairfield in Northern California. The Carson facility occupies 18,000 square feet and serves as corporate headquarters. Roughly 12,000 square feet of the facility is dedicated to inventory warehousing, system fabrication, and equipment repair.

McKenna Companies handle about 20 million in total sales; 11.5 million distributor and 8.5 million representative. The Company employs 42 people; fourteen (14) Field Sales, eleven (11) inside application engineering and sales support positions, five (5) Field Service Mechanics, seven (7) Field Installers, and five (5) Administrative and Accounting positions.

Due to the fact that we are strictly a sales company, not a marketing company, we have always tried to align ourselves with solid companies, typically industry leaders with strong name recognition.
